Kick Or Treat Tournament FAQs

How do I view the tournament brackets?
Navigate to our Kick Or Treat Tournament page or the official Tournament Website.  Once you're there, click on the STAGES link.  On a computer, you'll see the word STAGES.  On mobile, you will likely see an image that resembles a window with a pencil.  You will then see a list of all brackets for the Kick or Treat Tournament.

How do I find my team's bracket?
You have one of two ways:
(1) Click on STAGES and click on each bracket to find your team.  If you know your age group, you can just click on the corresponding brackets.  
(2) This option might be the 'long way' to get there. Click on the COMPETITORS link in the menu bar (computer) or the person-waving icon (mobile).  From there, you will see a list of all participating teams.  Find your team and click on the name.  This will take you to a Team Details page.  Under the "Upcoming" section, you will see your bracket name followed by your first/next matchup.  If you click on that matchup, it will take you to a Game Details page where you will see date, time, bracket and game number, and field location.  Above that information, you will see your bracket name in the breadcrumb trail (ex: Dashboard > Stages > U14B Bracket 1 > Game 1 > Match 1).  Click on the bracket name in the breadcrumb trail and it will take you to the bracket page.

How do I find my game times and locations?
Again, there are one of two ways:
(1) Once you have located your bracket and your matchup, click on your matchup and it will take you to a Game Details page where you will see the date, time, bracket and game number, and field location.
(2) Click on the COMPETITORS link in the menu bar (computer) or the person-waving icon (mobile).  From there, you will see a list of all participating teams.  Find your team and click on the name.  This will take you to a Team Details page.  Under the "Upcoming" section, you will see your bracket name followed by your first/next matchup.  If you click on that matchup, it will take you to a Game Details page where you will see date, time, bracket and field location.

Our first round game is over and we won!  How do we find out who we play next and when?
On your team details page (found by option 2 from prior questions), you will see three sections now--a records grid (W-L-T), Latest Results (results from your prior matchup), and Upcoming (your next match).  If you lost your round, Upcoming will be blank.

When is my championship game?
With the exception of U8, all championships are on October 26th.  U8 will complete their tournament on October 25th.  Check your brackets or check with your coaches on time and location.

Why didn't you just send me a PDF or paper copy of the bracket?  
We will be updating matches as they finish, so the results will be posted as soon as we receive a game sheet from the referee.  This way, you won't have to research to find out who you will play next.  Also, it'll be easier for you to see who wins your bracket.

How long will the bracket be live after the tournament, for historical purposes?
The link will be removed from www.valposoccerclub.org before the end of year, but the brackets will live on!  Bookmark https://challenge.place/c/vsc-kick-or-treat to continue viewing the brackets after the tournament is over.

Our bracket is complete!  Do we get a trophy or something?
First place winners will receive medals.
